The hostile terrain of Rajasthan has never been a setback for this state that acts as haven for a number of mammals and birds. 1,700m above the sea level provides this vast state latitudinal variation that results in a great variety of vegetation. There are approximately 22 wildlife reserves all across the state. During the flourishing season, these natural parks provide a picturesque view of varied animal species in their natural habitat.

A great diversity of flora fills the whole environment with vibrant colors and fragrances. Bird sanctuaries of the region give shelter to thousands of migratory as well as native birds.
