Day: 01 Arrival in Delhi

On arrival at Delhi’s international airport, you will be greeted by eLand Holidays representative. Delhi, the capital city of India, has evolved as a great host when it comes to tourism industry. It deserves a special mention for its versatility. Just like colorful threads weaved together to create a vibrant fabric, Delhi is a city of past, present and future. From airport you will be transferred to your pre booked hotel. Check in and get fresh for afternoon sightseeing tour of the city.
Give your tour a kick start by visiting the old lanes of Delhi laid down by Mughal dynasty. Chandni Chowk, Jama Masjid and Red Fort will be the highlight of this excursion. Later witness the imperial world of New Delhi. This division is more organized and has a beautiful infrastructure as compared to its older counterpart. You will visit India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Humayun’s tomb, and Qutab Minar. Come back to the hotel for overnight.

Day: 02 Delhi to Haridwar

After early morning breakfast at the hotel, you will proceed towards your first pilgrimage destination Haridwar. It will take approximately 5 hours to reach the holy town. Haridwar is a highly revered Hindu pilgrimage city. The holy river Ganga after traversing a distance of 253 km enters the Indo-Gangetic Plains of North India for the first time at Haridwar. The city is believed to be related with quite a few religious chapters and for this reason it is listed as one of the seven sacred cities of India. On arrival, check in at your pre booked Hotel and relax for a while.
In the evening, you will visit Holy Ghats of Ganges surrounded by several big small temples and a huge crowd of devotees. Be a part of the rituals being offered to the holy river and other deities. Come back to the hotel for overnight.

Day: 03 Haridwar to Rishikesh

After a delicious morning breakfast, get ready for sightseeing tour of the religious town. First of all visit Mansa Devi Temple which is devoted to Goddess who fulfills desires - Mansa Devi. It is quite popular because of the availability of cable cars. Visit Maya Devi Temple - devoted to Maya Devi, the Adhisthatri deity of Haridwar, this temple dates back to 11th century. It is believed that the heart and navel of Goddess Sati had fallen at this place and that why it is considered as one of the Siddhipithas. Subsequent visit to Pawan Dham temple which is comparatively a modern temple made completely of glass pieces. Likewise visit other temples of the region like Chandi Devi Temple, Piran Kaliyar, and Ram Mandir etc during this tour.
Later in the afternoon, leave for Rishikesh, this is approximately an hour long journey from Haridwar. Located in the foothills of Himalayas, Rishikesh is a vegetarian and alcohol free city by law. This city of temples is considered to be the gateway to the pious Himalayas. On arrival check in at your pre booked hotel. Spend rest of the day at leisure. Overnight will be at the hotel.

Day: 04 Sightseeing in Rishikesh

After breakfast, leave for the sightseeing tour of Rishikesh better known as the world capital of Yoga. It is a great place where one can study the well renowned influential Indian yoga, meditate and discover other aspects of Hinduism. Dotted with various yoga centers, Rishikesh is the place that brings you a step nearer to the realization of Moksha. Rishikesh is abode to one of the oldest (approx 120 years old) Kailas Ashram Brahmavidyapeetham - an institute that promotes and preserve the customary Vedanta Studies.
Adrenaline junkies find heaven in the town of Rishikesh. Enjoy river rafting, hiking and backpacking in the natural milieu of the holy land. Rest of the day will be free for leisure activities. Overnight will be at the hotel.

Day: 05 Delhi

After early morning breakfast at the hotel, you will drive back to Delhi which is 227 km away from Rishikesh and will take around 4.54 hours to reach there. On arrival, you will be transferred to airport by our representative to catch flight for onward destination.
