Day: 01 Arrival Cochin

Upon arrival, you will be greeted graciously by a representative of the eLand Holidays Pvt. Ltd at Cochin airport and escorted to the hotel room reserved for you. Cochin enjoys the sobriquets like ‘Queen of Arabian Sea’ and ‘Spice Capital of the World’. The culture and history of this quaint coastal city checkered with ancient relics can be traced well back to bygone eras of colonial forces and external influences (Arabs, Egyptians, Chinese, Dutch, Portuguese and British). As you saunter along the streets of this thriving metropolitan, spice-scented wind caresses your face and coconut palms sway in tune. Relax in your room for some time before embarking on a lovely sunset cruise along the backwaters.

Day: 02 Cochin

Enjoy a lovely breakfast at the hotel followed by a sightseeing tour around that covers most of Cochin’s enthralling highlights. It is a matter of wonder for many to know that there is a Jewish community in here since centuries. Travelers love to roam around the Jew Street with its beautiful synagogue and market that sells many a curious trinkets. The St Francis Church as the oldest European church makes a good experience as are the Santa Cruz Basilica and the Dutch palace. While the Chinese fishing nets installed on backwater shores glisten in the evening sun, you can enjoy a dance drama show, Kathakali.

Day: 03 Cochin – Kothamangalam

Post breakfast at the hotel you will be driven towards your next destination. Almost 2 hours of drive from Cochin takes you to Kothamangalam where you can steal some laid-back moments at a 100 year old Bungalow set in an estate. Hop to the bird sanctuary nearby and tuck into the traditional Kerala cuisine for lunch.

Day: 04 Kothamangalam

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel leave for Kodanad. A short drive and presto you reach the Kodanad elephant orphanage where you will get to see families of elephants having a gay time. You can even opt for elephant safari. Spend the rest of the day going for walks or simply relax in the room.

Day: 05 Kothamangalam – Munnar

Early morning breakfast at the hotel will be followed by a 3 hours drive to Munnar. On arrival, Check in at your pre booked hotel. Tucked amidst the Ghats and sprawled with manicured tea estates, Munnar is a popular hill station in India. The colonial aura lives on as are the mists that hover above the town around the year. Relax for a while and head to the tea museum in the evening.

Day: 06 Munnar

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel. Spend the day as you like taking in the generous tranquility while fitting in a short trip to the Eravikulam National Park. Located about 15 km from Munnar this park is renowned for its endangered resident – the Nilgiri Tahr.

Day: 07 Munnar – Periyar (Thekkady)

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Periyar (110kms/4hrs) an area known for its undulating hills, spice plantations, and elephant sightings. One of the 27 tiger reserves in India, the Periyar valley in Thekkady is the oldest. Check into your pre booked hotel. Go on a spice plantation tour today where you will be enticed by the aroma of spices.

Day: 08 Periyar

Soon after breakfast at hotel, embark on a tortuous jungle trek to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary with a guide and do a spot of bamboo rafting as well. Today you could opt for an escorted jungle trek and also engage in activities like bamboo rafting. Let yourself free in the exotic environs of this beautiful region.

Day: 09 Periyar – Kumarakom

Drive after breakfast at the hotel will take you to Kumarakom, 130 km away from Periyar. It is a magical place with a few serene resorts attached to delicate springs, canals, brooks and backwaters. With stupendous landscapes around, Kumarakom is a much sought-after retreat for soul-searchers.

Day: 10 Kumarakom

Breakfast at the hotel will be followed by a daylong exotic tour experience. Appreciate the full beauty of wondrous backwaters with a bit of canoeing, houseboat cruise and water scooter rides. Go for a refreshing Ayurveda body massage and spa.

Day: 11 Kumarakom – Houseboat

After having a delicious breakfast at the hotel you will splash along the balmy waters of Kumarakom backwaters, canals and lakes on your houseboat (aka Kettuvallam), that starts from the resort. Explore known and hidden coves. These opulent boats are complete with snazzy bedroom, bathroom and dining hall, well furnished. Bask in the sun from the deck while enjoying the sceneries around. Apart from the enchanting milieu, the life in motion itself is an experience to cherish forever.

Day: 12 Houseboat – Marari

Bid adieu to the houseboat after savoring a traditional breakfast onboard and set off towards the quiet fishermen's village, Mararikulam, where you can check into a resort room booked for you. Nestled amidst verdant coconut groves at the beachfront, the resort is an idyllic spot to repose. Spend the day getting into the skin of the place.

Day: 13 Marari

After an early morning breakfast you will spend your day at the beachside. Just let go at the white sand Marari beach. Hire a bicycle to explore the coastal regions, the famous Arthumkal Church and some quintessential fishermen’s villages in the vicinity. Evening will be at leisure.

Day: 14 Marari - Cochin – Departure

A couple of drive’s distance is the Cochin airport and it is time to say good bye to God’s own country. After breakfast at the hotel, our representative will transfer you to the airport to catch flight for your onward destination.
