Day: 01 Arrive Delhi

Arrive at the Delhi airport, complete your custom formalities (Visa, etc) pick up your luggage and look for our representative who will be waiting with the placard in your name at the arrival lounge with the placard in your name. Thereafter assisted transfer to the hotel in Delhi. Rest of the day at leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel. (No meals)

Day: 02 Delhi

Morning after breakfast, proceed for combined sightseeing tour of Old & New Delhi visiting Jama Masjid – built in 17th century is one of the largest mosques in Asia, enjoy rickshaw ride through the Chandni Chowk – one of the busiest street in Delhi, lined with shops selling various wares in whole sales, be it wedding gears, toys, dresses or books, each of the street here specializes in one kind of goods. Later drive past Red Fort, India Gate (where you can stop for Photo op), Parliament House, and President House and proceed to visit Humanyun’s Tomb, the first garden tomb in Indian subcontinent, Qutub Minar second tallest Minar in India and basically a Islamic Monument and a UNESCO world heritage site. The complex contains other architecturally important monuments including a mosque, tombs and the most amazing Iron Pillar. Stay overnight at the hotel in Delhi. (Breakfast)

Day: 03 Delhi – Amritsar (Train 12029 Swarn Shatabdi ETD 0720hrs/ETA 1345hrs)

Early morning pick up from the hotel and in time transfer to the railway station for your train journey to Amritsar. An excellent way of exploring the rural and urban landscape of India and to understand what role railways play in the life of a common Indian is to travel by Train. Arrive Amritsar, our executive will be waiting at the arrival lounge with the placard in your name. Thereafter assisted transfer to the hotel.
After a brief rest, take an excursion to Wagah Border to witness the flag ceremony. Patriotic fervor is at its peak at this India Pakistan border, when soldiers of both side lowers their flag with full state honour. This beating retreat ceremony was started in 1959 as confidence building measure and since then, has been a show of strong patriotic fervor on both sides. The Soldiers at both end marches to outshine each other and are a treat to watch. Stay overnight at the hotel in Amritsar. (Breakfast)

Day: 04 Amritsar – Delhi (12030 Swarn Shatabdi ETD 1650hrs/ETA 2305hrs)

After a leisurely breakfast, proceed for half day city tour of Amritsar. Start you day with the visit to Harmandir Saheb, popularly known as Golden Temple, after the dome which is plated in pure Gold. Harmandir was designed by Fifth Sikh Guru, Guru Arjun, after Amritsar was founded by the fourth Guru, Guru Ram Das in 1574. The construction of Harmandir Sahib was intended to build a place of worship for men and women from all walks of life and all religions to come and worship God equally. The Architecture of the building is a harmonious blend of Hindu and Islamic architecture. Later visit Durgiana Mandir – A hindu temple styled like the Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh – the site of human massacre and Ram Bagh Garden which contains the Summer Palace of first Sikh King – Maharaja Ranjit Singh.
Return back to the hotel to rest. Later, check out in time and transfer to the railway station for train journey back to Delhi. Arrive Delhi, our executive will be waiting at the platform to welcome you, thereafter assisted transfer to the hotel for check in and overnight. Overnight stay in Delhi. (Breakfast)

Day: 05 Delhi - Agra (approx. 04hrs drive)

After an early breakfast, check out and proceed to the medieval city of Agra, most famous for the monument of love – Taj Mahal. Arrive and check in at the hotel. After a brief rest yexplore Agra. Visit Agra fort – situated on the banks of Yamuna River, North West of the Taj Mahal, this majestic fort was started by the Emperor Akbar and it developed as a strong hold of the Mughal Empire, under successive generations. This majestic fortress of red sandstone encompasses within its 2.5 km long enclosure walls, the imperial city of the Mughal rulers. It comprises many visionary palaces, such as the Jahangir Palace and the Khas Mahal, built by Shah Jahan, audience halls such as the Dewan I Khas and two very beautiful mosques. Also visit Itimad Ud Daullah, also known as “the Jewel box”, was the first monument built by Mughals in white marble. It has some of the most exquisite carvings, the pietra dura work, which decorates the wall of Taj Mahal, was refined here. Stay overnight at the hotel in Delhi. (Breakfast)

Day: 06 Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Jaipur (Approx 05 hrs drive)

Wake up early in the morning and proceed for sunrise visit to Taj Mahal (Closed on Friday)– a white marble Tomb build in 1631 – 1648, seat of the Mughal Empire by Shah Jahan for his wife, Arjuman Banu Begum or Mumtaz Mahal. One of the eight wonders of the medieval world, Taj Mahal is an architectural marvel and the most symmetric building in the world. After enjoying the beauty of this wonderful creation, return back to the hotel for breakfast.
Later check out and drive to Jaipur – the pink city. En-route visiting the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri, a place worth visiting to discover how once the city could have been which has now turned into ruins, situated 26 miles west of Agra, it was built at orders of the Mughal Emperor Akbar. The Gateway to the town, Buland Darwaza is one of the largest gateways in the world, the palaces including Diwan e Aam, Diwan e Khas, Treasury benches, Jodha Bhai’s Palaces etc shows a beautiful blend of Hindu and Islamic architectural styles.
Arrive Jaipur and check in at the hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel in Jaipur. (Breakfast)

Day: 07 Jaipur

After breakfast at hotel, morning proceed for an excursion to the majestic Amber Fort. Take an elephant ride to ascend the hill on which the fort is situated. The Amber Fort set in picturesque and rugged hills is a fascinating blend of Mughal architecture, construct by Raja Man Singh in 1592 and completed by Swai Jai Singh, the fort is made in red sand stone and white marble. After lunch pro ceed for city Jaipur city tour visiting, the City Palace and the Observatory and photo stop near the Palace of Winds, also known as Hawa Mahal. Rest of the day is free to explore the city on own activities. Rest of the day at leisure to explore city/local Bazaar.
Evening optional visit to Chokhi Dhani (at an additional cost). A rajasthani village themed restaurant spread over 5 acres of beautifully landscaped area on the outskirts of Jaipur. Dotted with machaans and platforms, it comes alive every evening when different folk artists perform concurrently all through evening recreating the joyous mood of the village fairs. Traditional means of enjoyments are available including Folk dances like Kalbeliya, Terah Taali Dance, Fire Dance, acrobatics on Bamboo, Fortune teller etc are available, you even have a Bhool Bhulaiya here. Authentic Rajasthani traditional food prepared with ethni c recipes and heritage hospitality makes it best in town.

Day: 08 Jaipur – Delhi (Approx 06hrs drive)

After a leisurely breakfast, check out and drive back to Delhi. Arrive by the afternoon to check in at the hotel. Later in the day, optional tour to visit National Rail Museum, an interesting place for children. Trace the history of Indian Railways, witness many of the old locomotives displayed here including those built as early as 1902. Learn about the different aspects of Railways in India, enjoy a toy train ride. Return to the hotel for evening at leisure.

Day: 09 Depart Delhi

After a leisurely breakfast, morning is at leisure. Check out at 1200hrs and transfer to the Delhi international airport for onwards flight. (Breakfast)
