The capital city Kathmandu Kathmandu is located in a bowl shaped valley of central Nepal. This royal city was built by king Gun Kamdev in 723 A.D. Kathmandu can be compared to an open air museum exhibiting famous sites, ancient temples, shrines and golden pagodas.

Early morning breakfast will be followed by the sightseeing tour of the beautiful and pious Kathmandu city. You will visit one of the greatest shrines of Hindu religion - Pashupatinath Temple. Bathed by the waters of the magnificent Bagmati river, this holy shrine reflects the great Nepalese temple architecture.This two tiered magnificent golden temple houses hundreds of Shiva lingams, idols of various Hindu god and goddess.Non Hindus are not permitted to enter courtyard of the temple, they are taken on the other side of the river in the East to enjoy the view of the temple complex.
Later, you will visit Boudha Nath Stupa, one of the most ancient and the largest Buddhist shrine ever built in Nepal. This magnificent structure extends up to a height of some 36 meters. Believed to be built in 5th century A. D, this highly revered Buddhist monumenet has great legends associated to it.
Continue the charm of the trip by driving towards Bhaktapur or Bhadgaon that literally means the City of Devotees. Located on a hill top at an elevation of 1,401m, Bhaktapur is a major tourist destination. This city takes visitors back to the medieval times as it still retains the charm of paved roads, red brick houses and a traditional way of life. Its proud asset is the Durbar square. Famous for erstwhile palaces and old temples, this spot enjoys a great status among ardent travelers. Most famous are the Golden Gate and extraordinary Palace of Fifty-Five windows.
You will then drive to Nagarkot prior to the fading of day light. Relish the breattaking views of the Himalayan sunset.
On arrival, check in at your pre booked resort. Overnight will be at the hotel.
Wake up early in the morning to experience a never before seen sunrise of your life. Witness the sun coming out from the veils of great Himalayan greenery from your resort. Breakfast at the hotel will be followed by drive back to Kathmandu. The half day sightseeing tour will cover the most exotic highlights of the Kathmandu Durbar Square. Visit Kumari Temple - the Living Virgin Goddess of Hindu religion. This exquisite temple is located inside the Basantapur Durbar built by King Jaya. Proceed your footsteps towards the world heritage sight of Syambhunath. Besides paying tribute to Buddhism, this site offers picturesque view of the Kathmandu Valley. You will then visit Patan the city famous for its arts and crafts. Visit the Shikara (Krishna Temple), Patan Durbar, Buddhist Monastery Hiranya Varna Mahavir.
Evening will be at leisure. Enjoy the rickshaw ride to savor on the delicious Nepalese dinner at a local restaurant.

The fourth day of the tour will allow you to unravel yourself to the culture and traditions of Kathmandu. After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, you are free to spend your day the way you want. You will also have the option to visit Dakshinkali temple located 22km from Kathmandu. Dedicated to HIndu goddess Kali, this temple is famous for animal sacrifices done in order to worship the goddess. Enjoy shopping in the local bazaars of the city.
