Day: 01 Arrive Delhi

Upon arrival at Delhi airport, you will be received by eLand Holidays representative who will transfer you to your pre booked hotel. Delhi, the capital city is also the second largest conurbation by population of the country. The city is a kaleidoscope of diverse cultures, traditions, festivals, colorful people and their beliefs. Relax for rest of the day at the hotel.

Day: 02 Sightseeing in Delhi

After a nutritious breakfast you will proceed for city tour. The first part of sightseeing tour will cover the popular places of old Delhi. This part of Delhi showcases the great Mughal architecture. Drive past the Red Fort continuing to the Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. The courtyard of the mosque is capable of holding twenty five thousand worshippers who offer weekly Friday noon congregation prayers in the mosque. Opposite to it, Shah Jahan built the famous Red Fort. Art form and ornamental work of the fort is tremendous. Architecture of the fort is the perfect amalgamation of Persian, European and Indian art. The sound and light show is the key attraction for travelers. Then you move ahead to pay homage to the father of the nation – Mahatma Gandhi at Gandhi Samadhi, memorial to this great personality. Drive past the President’s House.
Post lunch you will tour New Delhi, which mirrors the legacy the British left behind. The tour to Imperial Delhi will include a visit to the Qutub Minar, the tallest stone tower in India. Then visit Humayun’s tomb, which is an outstanding monument in the Indo-Persian style, a precursor of the Taj Mahal. The tour also includes a drive past the imposing India Gate, the Parliament building and the Rastrapathi Bhawan, the President’s residence. Come back to the hotel for overnight.

Day: 03 Delhi to Sariska

Early in the morning you will be driven to Sariska. After covering a distance of 200 km you will reach Sariska National Park located on the old road of Delhi-Jaipur. Covered by dry deciduous forests, grasslands, rocks, mountains cliffs and narrow valleys, the sanctuary is spread over an area of 765.80 sq. km. The erstwhile hunting ground of the rulers of Alwar, Sariska was converted into a sanctuary in the year 1955 and later in the year 1982 it became a national park. Check in into your pre booked lodge.
Overnight will be at the lodge.

Day: 04 Sariska National Park

After early morning breakfast, you will set out for a wonderful jeep safari of the natural park. Tiger, Leopard, Hyena, Jackal, Wild Dog, Wild Boar, Jungle Cat, Sambar, Rhesus Monkeys, Chausingha, Chinkara, Four-Horned Antelope, Chital, Nilgai, Langur, Civet etc. constitutes the wildlife of the jungle. As a part of bird watching you may spot peafowl, Golden-Backed woodpeckers, White-breasted kingfishers, Tree Pie, Wood Pecker, Crested Serpent Eagle, Great Indian Horned Owl, Bush Quail, Peafowl, Grey Partridge, and Sand Grouse.

Day: 05 Sariska to Jaipur

After early morning breakfast you will drive to Jaipur located 111 km from Sariska. The city of victory, Jaipur presides over the fascinating desert state surrounded by rugged hills, each crowned by a formidable fort; and beautiful palaces, mansions and gardens dotted throughout its area. There is a timeless quality to Jaipur's bazaars and its people. With its historical past, Jaipur revives legends of the ancient Rajputs. The dresses of the women and the turbans of the men add color to this fascinating city.
On arrival at Jaipur visit the ancient capital of Amber to see the fabulous Amber Fort. The fort is surrounded by fortified battlements and overlooks the Maota Lake. Reach up to the fortress on the back of an elephant or alternatively by jeep. Sheesh Mahal (hall of mirrors) is, perhaps, the most fascinating where a single lamplight is reflected in the many mirrors, lighting up the room. Also visit Hawa Mahal an elaborate facade behind which the ladies of the court used to watch the daily goings on in the street below. It is extremely intricate in its pink sandstone carving. The cool wind blows through its facade of windows and latticed screens through which the queens of the court once viewed the streets of the city.

Day: 06 After sightseeing of Jaipur drive to Ranthambore

Enjoy a relaxed morning breakfast at the hotel. Later you will tour the remaining hot places of the pink city. Among the highlights to be seen while touring Jaipur include the City Palace, which is an overwhelming complex of exquisite palaces, gardens and courtyards, decorative art and carved doorways. The palace museum houses collections of rare manuscripts, armory, costumes, carpets and miniature paintings. Walk to the adjoining Jantar Mantar or Astronomical Observatory made by the Maharaja of Jaipur in 1726. You will also have the opportunity to wander about the local markets.
Post Lunch, you will be driven to Ranthambore located 165 km from Jaipur. The Ranthambore National Park is located in the district of Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan, India. The town of Sawai Madhopur is located at a distance of 14 km from the park.
Upon arrival, you will check into hotel for overnight stay.

Day: 07 Ranthambore National Park

Ranthambore National Park is well known for its tigers. Besides the royal tiger, species of Leopards, Striped Hyenas, Indian Wild Boar, Chinkara, Jackals, Indian Flying Foxes, Indian Foxes, Sloth bears, Sambar deer, Chital, Nilgai, Macaques, Small Indian Civets and Common mongoose have blessed this natural park with their presence. The reptile population of the park includes Snub Nosed Marsh Crocodiles, Desert Monitor Lizards, Tortoise, Banded Kraits, Cobras, Common Kraits, Ganga Soft Shelled Turtles, Indian Pythons, North Indian Flap Shelled Turtles, Rat Snakes, Russel's Vipers, Saw-scaled Vipers and the Indian Chamaeleon.
No visit to the Ranthambore National Park is complete till the time visitors have explored the Ranthambore Fort which lies within the park premises itself. The fort was built around 8th century by the Chauhans and has numerous attractions in store.
Overnight will be spent at the hotel.

Day: 08 Ranthambore to Bharatpur

After a relaxed morning you will leave for Bharatpur that is an abode to the world heritage site of Keoladeo National Park or Keoladeo Ghana National Park. Previously it was known as Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. This natural habitat is a popular avifauna sanctuary which gives shelter to thousands of rare birds like the Siberian Crane that comes here in the winter season. On arrival, you will check-in at your pre booked Hotel.
Spend your evening Bird watching at Bharatpur. You have the option of bird watching on a boat cruise or by cycle rickshaw. With its 375 species, it is one of the best bird sanctuaries that India has. The major fascination of tourists visiting the jungle is the plentiful of traveling birds, which come from as far away as Siberia and Central Asia to spend their winters in Bharatpur. Migratory birds at Bharatpur bird sanctuary are several species of Cranes, Geese, Pelicans, Eagles, Ducks, Hawks, Stints, Shanks, Wagtails, Wheatears, Warblers, Flycatchers, Larks, Buntings and Pipits, etc.
Overnight will be at hotel.

Day: 09 Bharatpur to Agra

After a lovely morning breakfast you will take on an exciting drive to Agra while visiting the deserted red sandstone city of Fatehpur Sikri. It was built by the Great Mughal Emperor Akbar in the late 16th century. At present, travelers come here to feel the Sufism that oozes out of every nook and corner of this spiritual place. Also, it is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site.
Later the excursion will proceed to Agra which is still allied with its Mughal period. Monuments of this city represent the great taste and great architectural knowledge of the Mughal rulers. Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, is the gem of all. In mid 17th century the Great Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan built it as an expression of his love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Though Taj appears to be amazingly perfect from almost any angle, it is the close-up marble inlay work, which is really astounding. Agra Fort was the seat and the monopoly of the Mughal Empire under successive generations. Itimad-ud-Daulah is an exquisite tomb of Mirza Ghiyath Beg. This two storey mausoleum was the first building to be constructed of pure marble in Mughal India. With its translucent stones etched into its walls and tracery work adding a delicate finishing touch, it is definitely one of the most beautiful mosques.

Day: 10 Agra to Jhansi

After an early morning breakfast you will be transferred to the railway-station to board train to Jhansi - a major road and rail junction. On arrival at Jhansi, you will be driven to Khajuaraho located 180 km away from Jhansi. Famous for its attractive, exotic and eye-catching temple sculpture, structural design and craftsmanship, Khajuraho is situated in the heart of Central India, in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Khajuraho temples were constructed during the reign of Chandel Empire between 950 and 1050 A.D. Khajuraho is a mesmerizing village with a picturesque rural ambience and a rich cultural heritage. The captivating temples of Khajuraho, India's unique gift of love to the world represent the expression of a highly developed civilization. Upon arrival at Khajuraho you will be transferred to hotel.
Overnight stay will be at hotel.

Day: 11 Khajuraho to Bandhavgarh

Get ready for a visual treat as you proceed for the sightseeing tour of Khajuraho Temples which have been declared as a world heritage site by UNESCO. The excursion will cover the eastern and the western group of temples.
Eastern group is constituted by Parsavanatha Temple - The largest in the group of three Jain temples, Ghantai Temple - This Jain temple has a fresco depicting the 16 dreams of Mahavira's mother, and a multi-armed Jain goddess perched on a winged Garuda, Adinatha Temple - The last of the Jain temples dedicated to the Jain saint, Adinatha.
Later visit the Western group which is undoubtedly the best recognized, because the largest and most typical Khajuraho temple Kandariya Mahadev belongs to this group. Other temples of the western group are
Vishwanath Temple - The temple enshrines a three-headed image of Lord Brahma.
Lakshamana Temple - The lintel over the entrance of this temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, shows the holy trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva with Goddess Lakshmi, Vishnu's consort.
Chaunsath Yogini - The oldest surviving temple in the group, Chitragupta Temple - Dedicated to the sun-god, Surya.
Matangeshwara Temple - This temple, which happens to be outside the precincts of the western group, is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
After this unforgettable excursion, then proceed towards your next destination of Bandhavgarh. After driving a distance of 270 km you will reach Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve. Spread across the Vindhya Hills, Bandhavgarh National Park is expanded to a buffer area of 437 sq km. The main attraction of the Bandhavgarh Wildlife Sanctuary of India is its significant population of tigers. In fact, the park boasts of the highest concentration of tigers throughout the country.

Day: 12 Bandhavgarh National Park

Wildlife lovers will find a wide range of flora and fauna in the Bandhavgarh National Park. The topography of the park is characterized by sharp ridges, surging forests and open meadows. The 22 genus of various biological species found here leaves the visitors spell bound. However, most of the tourists come here to watch the tiger in its full glory. The other wild animals that can be seen here include Common Langur, Rhesus Macaque, Sloth Bear, Striped Hyena, Leopard, Spotted Deer, Sambar, Nilgai, Chinkara, Small Indian Civet, etc. Bandhavgarh National Park of India boasts of more than 150 species of birds that includes White Bellied Drongos, Black And White Malabar Hornbills, Blossom Headed Parakeets, Gold Fronted Leaf Birds, Minivets, Paradise Flycatchers, Black Vulture, White-eyed Buzzard, Red Jungle Fowl, etc.
Overnight will be at hotel/jungle lodge.

Day: 13 Back to Khajuraho to fly to Delhi

After breakfast, you will be driven back to Khajuraho. Catch the connecting flight to Delhi where our representative will transfer you to the international airport. Fly to your onwards destination lingered by the thoughts of this exciting tour!
