After a leisurely breakfast, check out and proceed to Polonnaruwa via Avukana. Visit the rock statue of Lord Buddha in Aukana on your way to Polonnaruwa. Check in at your hotel in Polonnaruwa. In the evening visit the Polonnaruwa Historical site which is one of the best planned archaeological sites in Sri Lanka. Polonnaruwa kingdom was the second kingdom of the ancient Sri Lanka. Stay for overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast at the Hotel. Proceed to Dambulla after breakfast. You will have the option of visiting Sigiriya Rock Fortress, which is one of the key attractions in Sri Lanka. Proceed to Dambulla and check in at your hotel. Later visit Dambulla Cave Temple: a UNESCO World Heritage which has 5 caves with hundreds of Buddha Statues in different postures and frescos in the cave walls. Also visit the Golden Temple in which is recently built. The Buddhist Museum in the Golden Temple is an optional activity where you will be able to do it if you are keen. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Proceed to Kandy via Matale. Visit Aluvihara Temple in Matale in which the Buddhist Doctrine after having been handed down orally for several centuries was first transcribed into Ola leaf books in 1st Century BC. Proceed to Kandy; the most venerated City for the Buddhists in Sri Lanka. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast at the Hotel. Later visit three famous Temples around Kandy, which are Lankathilake Temple, Embekka Shrine & Gadaladeniya Temple. Evening visit the most sacred place of Buddhists in Sri Lanka; The temple of Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha. In the evening you will be taken a city tour in Kandy where you will be able to visit shops, gem lapidaries, herbal gardens etc… Late evening enjoy Cultural Show in Kandy. Stay overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, Leave for Nuwara Eliya. Visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden before you proceed to Nuwara Eliya. Today’s drive will enable you to capture the fascinating views of misty mountains, scenic landscapes, tea estates and waterfalls. Visit a Tea Factory enroute to witness the process of making world renowned Ceylon Tea. Check in at your hotel in Nuwara Eliya. In the evening you will be free to walk in the Nuwara Eliya town area and interact with the local community. Stay overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel leave for Colombo. Visit Kelaniya Temple enroute. Check in at your hotel upon your arrival at Colombo and leave go for a City Tour. Visit the attractions scattered around the city and back to the hotel. In the evening you are free to experience the night life of the Colombo City. Stay overnight at Colombo.
After a leisurely breakfast, in time transfer to the Colombo airport to connect to your departure flight.
